03 Sep 2023

Studies have shown that breathing in fresh, unpolluted air has benefits for our respiratory system, especially in children. The risk of airborne infectious disease transmission for conditions like bronchitis and pneumonia, is higher in enclosed places with poor air quality, it can also increase the risks of short and long term harmful effects including irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and cardiac and respiratory diseases like asthma.

Dr. Petrina Wong, Consultant Paediatrician spoke about ‘Children’s Respiratory Health’ at a cosy seminar and shared tips on how parents can take preventive steps to care for their child’s respiratory health and reducing the risks of serious respiratory conditions.
